JANNETTE EVICTED FROM BBA STARGAME

The little Ugandan princess of the Big Brother Africa Stargame, Jannette was yesterday evicted from the reality TV show. She had the least vote count with only one vote from Ghana. This was her first nomination since the show started and she was not able to handle. Her sudden change of drinking attitude was certainly what Africa couldn’t take. What some couldn’t understand was the fact she was drinking and getting drunk to get attention or wanting to prove she was a big girl. She forgot that she was kept in the house by the other housemates because of her good behaviour and showing respect to her seniors hence the nick name, little princess. Well Kyle remains, so if he wins, they’ll split the money.

BBA STARGAME FINAL NOMINATION: JANNETTE NOMINATED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Jannette was in shock yesterday when she learnt that she has been put up for possible eviction as she has never tested what every other housemate had been through on the chopboard. Wati, the new head of house saved himself and replaced with Kyle, possibly as a revenge for Keitta. Kyle could not hold back tears when he explained to Biggie that he had replaced Keagan with Keitta last week because he thought Keitta was popular in the continent and Africa would save him.
Housemates up for possible eviction this week are;
Prezzo Prezzo
Lady  Lady May

Jannette  Jannette

Kyle  Kyle
However, Wati, Talia and Keagan have automatically qualified for the BBA Stargame finals billed for next week.

BATMAN SHOOTING: COLORADO AUTHORITIES IDENTIFY THE 12 VICTIMS KILLED IN Aurora Theater Massacre

AURORA, Colo. (Huffington Post)– Ashley Moser drifted in and out of consciousness in the ICU, a bullet lodged in her throat and a gunshot wound to her abdomen. In her waking moments, she called for her 6-year-old daughter Veronica.

Nobody had the heart to tell the 25-year-old mother that Veronica was already dead, the youngest victim killed at a Colorado movie theater in one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history.

“All she’s asking about, of course, is her daughter,” said Annie Dalton, who is Ashley Moser’s aunt.

Dalton said Veronica was “a vibrant 6-year-old. She was excited, she’d just learned how to swim. She was a great little girl, excited about life – she should be at 6 years old.”

The little girl was among those who died when a gunman barged into a crowded theater in a Denver suburb, set off gas canisters and opened fire, killing 12 people and wounding 58 others.

Colorado authorities Saturday released the names of the victims killed in the rampage. There were eight men, three women and Veronica Moser-Sullivan, the youngest slain. Gordon Cowden was the oldest. He was 51. All died of gunshot wounds, according to the release by the Arapahoe County coroner’s office.

One of the 12, Matthew McQuinn, has been tentatively identified and is awaiting final identification, though his family’s attorney confirmed to The Associated Press that McQuinn was among those killed.

Rob Scott of Dayton, Ohio, said McQuinn died after diving in front of his girlfriend and her older brother to shield them from the gunfire.

His girlfriend, Samantha Yowler, was in fair condition after being shot in the knee. Her brother, Nick Yowler, was not injured.

The couple had moved to Colorado from Ohio last fall, Scott said.

For Alex Sullivan, it was to be a weekend of fun: He planned to ring in his 27th birthday with friends at the special midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” and then celebrate his first wedding anniversary Sunday.

Late Friday, Sullivan’s family confirmed that police told them he was among those killed.

“He was a very, very good young man,” said Sullivan’s uncle, Joe Loewenguth. “He always had a smile, always made you laugh. He had a little bit of comic in him. Witty, smart. He was loving, had a big heart.”

Micayla Medek, 23, also was killed.

Her father’s cousin, Anita Busch, told the Associated Press that the news, while heartbreaking, was a relief for the family after an agonizing day.

“You can’t go that long without knowing,” she said. “I hope this evil act … doesn’t shake people’s faith in God.”

Navy cryptologist John Larimer went to the theater with three other sailors from nearby Buckley Air Force Base, Navy Cmdr. Jeffrey Jakuboski said. Larimer was shot and killed, and Jakuboski said losing Larimer felt like losing “one of my sons.”

“Losing a sailor, whether it’s in combat or whether it’s in a horrific domestic situation like this, it’s hard. It’s tough,” he said.

Larimer’s family said his brother is working with the Navy to take his body home to Crystal Lake, Ill.

An Air Force reservist who worked at Buckley also was killed in the rampage. Sgt. Jesse Childress, 29, was a cyber-systems operator from Thornton, Colo., said Air Force Capt. Andrew Williams.

Williams described Childress as knowledgeable, experienced and respectful. He says Childress was athletic and played in a kickball and volleyball tournament on base. “He was always our star,” Williams said.

A vigil was to be held Saturday night for Alexander J. Boik of Aurora. His family issued a statement saying that he was loved by all that knew him and was dating “a beautiful young lady” who was with him at the theater and survived.

“We want to try and focus on the beautiful lives that were ended and not the evil that is responsible,” the family said.

The family of Cowden, another Aurora resident, didn’t want to speak to the press Saturday afternoon.

After graduating from high school in Reno, Nev., victim Jonathan Blunk, 26, of Aurora, Colo., served in the Navy between 2004 and 2009 and most recently worked at a hardware store, according to close friend James Gill of Brighton, Colo.

Blunk had plans to re-enlist with a goal of becoming a Navy SEAL, said Gill, who lived with Blunk several years in the Navy and later in Aurora.

Gill described his friend as an avid outdoorsman and gun rights advocate.

“Pretty much every weapon the guy in the theater used he owned,” Gill said. “If you asked if he was still alive, he would have said his only regret is he didn’t have his sidearm with him and he couldn’t do anything to stop him.”

Victim Rebecca Ann Wingo, 32, had started a job several months ago as a customer relations representative at a mobile medical imaging company.

Shannon Dominguez, who worked with Wingo on weekends, said she was friendly with everyone and always seemed to be in a good mood.

“I didn’t really know her well but she had a really bubbly personality,” Dominguez said. “She was a pretty happy person. She just never really seemed … like with work, she never got irritated. She was pretty happy to be here.”

Alexander C. Teves, 24, graduated in June from the University of Denver with a master’s degree in counseling psychology, the school said.

The university identified Teves’ hometown as Phoenix. School officials said they had no other information immediately available.

An aspiring sports reporter who recently wrote a blog post about surviving a Toronto shooting was killed, the woman’s brother said.

The death of Jessica Ghawi, who was also known as Jessica Redfield, was a “complete and utter shock,” said her brother, Jordan Ghawi.

Jessica Ghawi, 24, moved to Denver from Texas about a year ago and friends and colleagues described her as outgoing, smart and witty.

Ghawi blogged at length about surviving the Eaton Centre mall shooting in Toronto that killed two people and sent several others to the hospital.

Jessica Ghawi wrote of the Toronto shooting: “I was shown how fragile life was on Saturday. I saw the terror on bystanders’ faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath.”

PHOTO OF THE WEEK: SHAME CALLED APTITUDE TEST AT FEDPOLY NEKEDE

On the 6th of July, 2012 i posted a report on the shameful conduct of the post UTME aptitude test by the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede. Thousands of students registered for the test. Rather than take time to prepare for the exam, the school management went ahead to conduct an examination in which they where overwhelmed by the number of candidates. Instead of spreading the exams into different days, they shamefully went ahead to conduct the test in one day, making most of the students to write up to the middle of the night. Below are some pictures i have chosen to upload. The pictures taken into the night were not clear enough for upload. I am calling on the relevant authorities to investigate this, although i understand that the results are out.

BREAKING NEWS: KEITTA HAS BEEN EVICTED FROM BBA STARGAME. ALEX OUT TOO

The last Ghanaian in this years Big Brother Stargame has been just been evicted from the TV reality show. This

Alex on the left with Iyke

will certainly come as a rude shock to his country men who were hoping he would replicate what their West African neighbour and rival Nigeria had done in three editions. Hmmmm . . . I guess Goldie has finally had a consolation. She could be having the last laugh right now. Prezzo’s Kenyan country man who had no vote at all from Africa was also booted out. Before now he had always claimed if the opportunity came for kenyans to choose between him and Prezzo, he would be the preferred choice because they were not happy with prezzo as he was not representing the country well.Once on stage, Iyke wanted to know why he always nominated his fellow countrymate Prezzo but he simply said; “he wasn’t social and was very uptight.”

From Biggie

Embarrassment is an understatement to describe what became of Keitta on stage when he was asked about his hygiene.

As if admitting that he didn’t really know his girlfriend well enough to bring her to the game was not enough, he put the nail on the coffin.

A very bold fan asked the Ghanaian Housemate the God-forsaken question about why he didn’t really like showering in the House.

“There’s not much movement to be sweating and to take a shower everyday”; replied the king of the Azonto amidst all that shame.

The Ghanaian model became the sixth Housemate to be evicted from Upville.

Perhaps this is the time when it is actually okay to say; “no comment” Keitta.

Here is how Africa voted this week (22 July 2012) – We bid farewell to Keitta and Alex.

Here’s who which country voted for:

Angola: Lady May
Botswana: Lady May
Ghana: Keitta
Kenya: Prezzo
Liberia: Prezzo
Malawi: Wati
Namibia: Lady May
Nigeria: Lady May
South Africa: Wati
Sierra Leone: Keitta
Tanzania: Prezzo
Uganda: Prezzo
Zambia: Wati
Zimbabwe: Lady May
Rest of Africa: Prezzo

Total: Lady May = 5; Prezzo = 5, Wati = 3, Keitta = 2, Alex = 0. (Total: 15 Votes)

Ghanaians and Nigerians have been at war on the social media since yesterday night. The war of words started from the Ghanaians who have been using vulgar words on Nigerians, blaming them for the eviction of keitta. They have called Nigerians fraudsters, Boko Haram, etc. but trust Naija, they had response to that. This is uncalled for. Africa is one. this is just a game. don’t take it personal. Rivalry and envy does us no good.

So now who do you think should be evicted next and who would go home with the $300 000?

NIGERIA HIT WORLD RECORD: MOST SEXUALLY SATISFIED/ MOST UNFAITHFUL WOMEN/ LONGEST TIME OVER SEX – DUREX

Condom makers Durex, last week released result of a poll it carried out which rated Nigeria as the most sexually satisfied people on earth. It interviewed 26 000 people from 26 countries. It also had the longest time over sex with a record 24minutes per session.
In another survey of 29 000 persons in 36 countries, Nigeria came number 1 as most unfaithful women in the world ahead of Thailand, Malaysia and Russia.
What a record. The survey is funny but not far from the truth. With rising rate of corruption, unemployment, poverty, greed, depression, loneliness, etc, what else tops the mind of people other than sex. The Japanese are rated the least sexually satisfied people and the Indians, the quickest sex per session. To me these persons are too busy contributing to the growth of their countries, giving them less time for sexual matters.
In 2004, an ICM poll for the BBC, rated Nigerians as the most religious people on earth despite the high rate of corruption and immorality.
In 2003, a study published by UK’s New Scientist Magazine, revealed that Nigerians were the happiest people on earth despite the poverty rate. Truly then, our slogan was ‘suffering and smiling’. But that was then as the 2012 UN comprehensive survey showed that Nigerians are the 100th happiest people on earth. Ofcourse you all know why. How could they be happy with the high rate of poverty, increase in lawless, continuous failed promises and betrayals by the leaders, both political and religious, etc.
But in all things, the Nigerian does not give up hope until he expires, that is the Nigerian spirit. Nigeria, Good people, Great Nation.
